Our products are made without the following:
✖️ PFAS (“Forever Chemicals”)
✖️ PTFE (Teflon)
✖️ PFOA
✖️ Lead & Cadmium
✖️ Nanoparticles
✖️ Heavy Metals
• Heat safe up to 548°C / 1000°F
• Dishwasher safe
• Safe for use with metal utensils
• Activate nonstick by adding 1 tsp of high smoke point oil before cooking
• Titanium surface can be cleaned with steel wool or other abrasives
Rinse under hot water. Wipe. Done.
One thing to know: preheat on medium for 60 seconds before adding oil. That is all.

Titanium Isn't Competing. It's Replacing.
From toxins to high maintenance, these outdated materials just don't measure up.
Non-stick coating / Teflon
The worst type of pan surface. Teflon/most non-stick pans release toxic PFAS chemicals, known as "forever chemicals," which have been linked to cancer and liver damage. The coating flakes off easily over time and doesn't withstand heat, exposing your food to toxins.
Stainless steel
Requires plenty of oil to prevent food from sticking, and reacts with acidic foods—altering the taste and potentially releasing metals in lower-quality pans. More difficult to clean, requiring more maintenance.
Ceramic
Ceramic coatings are very fragile; once chipped, they expose a toxic aluminum base. Most only last 1 to 2 years before losing their non-stick properties. They are expensive to replace and unreliable in the long run.
Cast Iron
Incredibly heavy and requiring a lot of maintenance - cast iron rusts easily without regular seasoning and struggles with acidic foods, which can degrade the surface and alter the flavor.
Plastic
Contains BPA or other harmful chemicals that leach into food when cut, posing a risk to hormonal, intestinal and brain health.
Solid wood
Not hygienic. Wood is porous; it absorbs juices and moisture from raw food. The cut grooves trap bacteria, making sterilization nearly impossible. Mold and contamination are almost guaranteed over time. They also absorb odors and stain easily.
Bamboo & Grain Bit
The risks are similar to those of solid wood, plus they are assembled from small blocks glued with industrial adhesives containing carcinogenic formaldehyde. Not just unhygienic—dangerous.
Glass / Stone / Steel
These materials are very hard and quickly dull knives. They are also very heavy.
Plastic
Plastic spatulas have a very low melting point, releasing toxic chemicals with each use, causing health risks such as hormonal and intestinal disturbances and cancer.
Silicone
While high-quality silicone spatulas are heat-resistant, most found on Amazon or in regular stores degrade over time and release toxic chemicals. Cheaper silicone spatulas often contain harmful fillers like BPA and phthalates, which become toxic when heated.
Wood
Not hygienic. It allows bacteria to develop in the grooves and cracks, even if they are invisible, which can contaminate your food over time. They also absorb odors and stain easily.
Steel
Most are made from low-quality alloys that release heavy metals like chromium and nickel into your food when heated. They are also heavy, which can damage the surface of your cookware.

FAQs
Is this actually pure titanium or just titanium-reinforced Teflon?
Pure titanium means the cooking surface is solid titanium metal. Not titanium particles mixed into a Teflon or ceramic coating. Not titanium-reinforced. The cooking surface is the metal itself. There is nothing above it to flake and nothing beneath it to be exposed. Our SGS test result confirms the material composition independently. You can verify it yourself.
Do SEAR products contain PFAS, PFTE, PFOA or any chemicals?
No. Independently tested by Light Labs. PFAS, PTFE, lead and cadmium all came back none detected. Not our claim. Their result. Every Sear pan ships with access to the full test documentation.
How does the titanium surface release food without any coating?
The hand-hammered surface creates thousands of microscopic peaks across the cooking surface. Food sits on those peaks rather than lying flat against the metal. The reduced contact area means food releases naturally with minimal oil. This is physics not chemistry. The texture is hammered into the metal so it cannot wear off because it is not a coating. It is the surface itself.
Why would I choose Titanium over cast iron or stainless steel?
Cast iron is heavy, slow to heat and reacts with acidic foods. Stainless steel requires precise technique to prevent sticking and contains nickel which leaches under acidic cooking conditions. Pure titanium is 40% lighter than cast iron, heats evenly through the multi-ply aluminium core, is nickel-free, and the hammered surface releases food naturally without the technique demands of stainless. One pan that handles what three pans currently cannot.
Will it work on my induction cooktop?
Yes. Works on every cooktop including induction, gas, electric and ceramic glass. Also oven safe to 548°C. One pan for every heat source in your kitchen.
Is it safe for someone with a nickel allergy or eczema?
Yes. Pure titanium is nickel-free and biologically inert. It is the same material used in surgical implants and bone plates precisely because it does not react with the human body. For nickel-sensitive individuals it is the only cookware material with a documented medical-grade biocompatibility profile. Stainless steel by comparison contains 8 to 12% nickel and can leach under acidic cooking conditions.
Is the pan dishwasher safe?
Yes. No coating to protect, no seasoning to maintain, no rust risk. Rinse it, rack it, done. Hand washing with hot water takes ten seconds if you prefer.
What does the lifetime warranty actually cover?
The lifetime warranty covers manufacturing defects and material failure for the life of the pan. If the pan warps, cracks or has a structural defect we will replace it. Email support@sear-cookware.com with a photo and your order number and we respond within 24 hours.
How does the 100-day trial work?
You have 100 days from delivery to decide. Cook on it every day. Not happy? Email us and we will organise the return.
How long does shipping take?
Orders are processed within 3 to 5 business days. Delivery takes 7 to 10 business days. Shipping is free on every order to both Australia and New Zealand. You will receive a tracking number as soon as your order leaves the warehouse.
Is the damage already done from years of Teflon use?
Honestly, some historical exposure has already occurred and cannot be reversed. But stopping ongoing daily exposure reduces bioaccumulation going forward. Every meal cooked clean from this point matters. Your body stops adding to what is already there. That is what you can control and that is worth doing.
